Random rant

Things that grind my gears (the sequel):

1. People who have $60 eye creams and luxury handsoaps in their bathroom, yet will ask everyone for rides.
2. When you've waited too long to peel hard-boiled eggs. The shells just won't come off in a clean, neat manner!
3. Ode to point no. 1. When people brag about how many houses they have, how many cars they have and when you go to visit them...they offer you only a glass of water (that too, after you've asked them to).
4. When the dryer has dried your clothes ununiformly and there are wet, damp patches here and there.
5. When you've bought a fresh loaf of bread and it gets all moldy the next day.
6. When the passenger behind you (in a plane) will dig their knees into the back of your seat. No. Just no.
7. Shampoo/conditioner/lotion bottles that have leaked in the suitcase.
8. Hotels that have smoking rooms.
9. A shrimp dish ( at a restaurant) served with two shrimps. I paid $18.95 for what?
10. When I've forgotten to plug in the phone charger.

Happiness is being loved by the one who matters the most.

I had to stop by here to reflect on one of my older posts about being patient for a bigger reward from the one above. Dang! It just happened again :) It is just so important to keep performing good deeds and not to keep complaining about rewards or reciprocation. I kinda do this thing where I just look up, give a little smirk and go like 'ok...I hope its going to be something good this time' and whadayaknow, it is! Thanks for listening to the great one above :) Thank you!

P.S.: I am not pregnant.

New food favorites

I love sundried tomatoes. I love raw cheddar. So I decided to make a nifty sandwich. Onion roll, egg, sundried tomatoes and raw cheddar. Beautiful. Oh and broil at 400 F for 5-7 minutes. Bomb dot com.

This yogurt tastes soooooo good. With some cut-up strawberries, blackberries and bananas. Sooo good  Throw in a few roasted almonds in there and its just insane! The taste of this also reminds me of 'mishti doi' which is a Bengali dessert made of yogurt.

Pollo Tropical

Hubby and I love this place ever since we've lived in Florida. You know how you like a restaurant because of the memories associated with that place. We were so glad to see this in Dallas a few months ago, although, this was only our second time going there. The food is Caribbean inspired grilled chicken, yellow rice, black beans, etc. kind of fare. Although it is considered a fast-food joint, we think its kind of the middle-of-the-road as they do give you silverware to eat your food!
